Hitz Photography is looking for applicants to fill two intern positions. The two distinctly different positions are designed as educational and practical experiences. They are not employment. The positions will help the interns learn the process of wedding photography from beginning to finish. When the internship is complete, the interns will have a very advanced knowledge as to how to manage their own photography workflow in the future, and may qualify for employment with Hitz Photography or other studios. Employment is not guaranteed.
Applicants with time and interest in the two positions may apply for both if their schedule and logistics will permits. Intern qualifications are reviewed on a case by case basis.
Intern positions are volunteer positions only. Each position has a curriculum to be completed during the internship. Only serious and dedicated applicants, please.
Post Production Intern
We need one intern with digital imaging interest to assist in editing and processing weddings and other photo sessions. Some knowledge of and experience with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop are required. The internship is not intended as a class on the software, but as a practical learning experience in digital manipulation and workflow and to take the intern's level of expertise to a marketable level.
Hours are flexible, designed to coordinate with your weekly work or school schedule. Learning will take place at our home studio in northeast Miami, Florida.
Weddings Intern
Join Bill and Jackie Hitz, or one of our associate photographers at our many Miami area weddings and learn the management of the day, as well as the various types of photography that take place at a wedding. Wedding day photography consists of portraiture and posing, photojournalism, architectural shots, interiors, close-ups and product details, fashion, and other fields of photography. Consequently, weddings are not only rewarding, but a superb training ground for all photography fields.
The intern will assist and learn from the photographer, and will be permitted and encouraged to bring a camera and take some photographs, which will be analyzed and critiqued.
